I see where Siril faetures include the use of Astrometry, possibly with the Color Calibration.
I do not see Astrometry anywhere in my version (MAC OSX 0.9.11-1) of Siril.
How is Astrometry used with Siril, and where can I find that in the menus?

Is the version from the bundle? From homebrew?
Astrometry is well present in the color calibration menu or analyse menu.

Thank you for your reply, lock042.
I installed the MAC version with a .dmg package/bundle.
Astrometry is not present in either of the menus you mention.
Photometry is though.

You are confusing some things.
The menu "Photometric coloc calibration" contains astrometry by design.

In the menu Analysis you have the tool "Image Plate Solver" which stand for astrometry.

Hello again lock042.
I did now see those menus items, and tried the solving feature.
Since I do not directly save my images in the .fits format, I could not get a solve.
I tried several of my images, but none will solve.
Is the .fits the only format that works with Siril's plate solving algorithms?
Interestingly, the website "" can solve many of my images in several formats.

Not only the FITS. But as it is written in the error message. You need to use LINEAR image.

Image Processing - Color calibration - Photometric Color Calibration
Does this help maybe?
